Security Tools
The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer at ITS provides a range of free information security tools for the USC community, including faculty, staff, and students, which include:
- 1Password Password Manager: 1Password Business and 1Password Personal password manager are available to the USC community. To learn more, visit 1Password.
- Sentinel One Endpoint: The security software is designed to detect, remove, and prevent the spread of malware and other security risks. To learn more, visit SentinelOne.
- Duo Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) improves the security of your USC electronic accounts by requiring an additional level of authentication beyond username and password, which need to be used every time that you sign into the services accessed through the USC NetID sign-in. - AnyConnect Virtual Private Networking (VPN) provides secure remote access to internal USC systems handling confidential or sensitive data, such as Student Information Systems (SIS) and file servers for specific schools and departments. To learn more, visit itservices.usc.edu/vpn.
