Per USC’s Acceptable Use Policy, any email you wish to keep longer than 16 months will need to be stored in a top-level personal folder. In Gmail, these folders are known as labels.
How to Reconfigure Your Desktop and Mobile Mail Apps
- If you use a desktop app, such as Outlook, to access your USC email, you will need to reconfigure the app to access your new USC-branded Gmail account. You will find instructions on how to reconfigure your email software to access Gmail on the Accessing Google Apps at USC through an Email Program page.
- You will need to reconfigure any mobile device that currently receives your USC email on in order to continue to receive your email. For information on accessing your USC-branded Gmail account from a mobile device, see Accessing Google Apps at USC on a Mobile Device.
