Departments can purchase new phone sets directly from ITS for a one-time charge. Departments have the option of purchasing phone sets from third-party vendors; sets must meet ITS phone set requirements.
Features
All phones are programmed with the following features: call forwarding, conference, transfer, drop, hold, speakerphone, message waiting indication, caller ID, and automatic call back.
Phone Set Requirements
The phone sets required for your office/building vary based on the type of service being provided:
- Digital: Avaya 24xx series phone set or any digital set compatible with an Avaya Private Branch Exchange (PBX). An ITS technician may need to configure the phone set in order for the digital line to work properly.
- Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP): Avaya 96xx series phone set or any VoIP set compatible with an Avaya PBX. An ITS technician may need to configure the phone set in order for the VoIP line to work properly
- Analog: Any analog phone set will work on an ITS-provisioned analog line.
NOTE: Analog and single-line digital phone sets are not covered under ITS-maintained Phone Set Maintenance.
