You will need to reactivate your MATLAB software license every year on December 30. The instructions below will explain how to reactivate your MATLAB license file.

Reactivating MATLAB on a PC or Mac

  1. Open MATLAB. If your MATLAB license has already expired, the activation client will launch and you can skip the next step.
  2. Navigate to Help Menu > Licensing > Activate Software.
  3. Choose Activate using InternetNOTE: If your computer is behind a firewall, you may need to temporarily deactivate it in order to complete the reactivation process.
  4. Once you have reactivated MATLAB, you will need to restart the program for it to update.

NOTE: If the installation has already expired, you will be prompted to activate when attempting to launch MATLAB.
