Each USC DocuSign eSignature account is assigned one of the five roles outlined below. By default, USC faculty, staff, students, and affiliates are considered USC Signers. Note that templates and PowerForms can only be created by users who have USC Author/Template Creator abilities or above.

Department Unit Coordinator (DUC)DUCs coordinate user needs to ITS, as the main point of contact for a school or unit’s department DocuSign account.Author/ Template Creator abilities, plus:Submit service requests on behalf of department users, such as adding and removing users, reporting issues, etc.Assist users in template creation or other tasks neededDepartments may choose to appoint their own DUC to coordinate department DocuSign needs and requests with ITS, for efficiency and streamlining of processes.
