Brightspace is USC’s Learning Management System (LMS), providing a centralized platform for instructors to share course materials, communicate with students, and assess learning through quizzes and online assignments. Available to all faculty and students, Brightspace supports Turnitin integration and offers robust tools for creating and managing quizzes. Instructors can build quizzes using a variety of question types—including multiple choice, matching, short answer, and true/false—which are stored in the Question Library for easy reuse, randomization, and shuffling. Once a quiz is created, instructors can add questions, preview it, and then release it to students.
