Google Drive is a cloud storage service that allows USC faculty, staff, and students to upload, create, edit, and work collaboratively with others on a variety of documents online. The service comes with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, a collection of apps for developing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files stored on Google Drive.

Google Migration Tools
- There are several methods you can use to move your data from Google Drive to another location. These are listed in order of efficiency for moving large amounts of data.
- Microsoft Mover.io Used for Moving Drive files from Google Drive to Microsoft OneDrive.
- Google Transfer and Google Takeout (Available to USC students only, not faculty or staff due to data loss risk) Recommended to move Drive files and Gmail messages. Takeout is recommended for Photos or when transferring more than your personal Google account capacity.

- Google Drive Client or Web Client: Download files to local drive or network file share.
- Outlook client or Gmail Web Client: Move Gmail messages to Microsoft Exchange mailbox.
Eligibility
- Available to all current USC faculty, staff, and students. Students, but not faculty or staff, have the ability to forward email to a personal email account and to use Google Takeout and Transfer to move email and files to a personal Google account.
- Note: Access to these storage options end one year post-departure from USC unless an official leave of absence is filed. (Students only; faculty and staff lose access to USC services on their day of separation.).

- Google Drive with 100 GB of storage is a service provisioned for all current USC faculty, staff, and students.
