You can access Google Apps such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive through many mobile devices. This page will provide links to documentation and settings that will help you get your Google Apps at USC account up and running on your mobile device.

Accessing Google Apps on an iOS Device

There are three ways to access Google Apps on an iOS device: through Google Sync, through the Gmail for iOS app, or through a mobile browser.

Accessing Google Apps on an Android Device

There are two ways to access Google Apps on an Android device: through the native Android apps or through a mobile browser.

Accessing Google Apps on a Windows Mobile Device

There are two ways to access Google Apps on an Windows phone: through Google Sync or through a mobile browser.

NOTE: At this time, there is no Gmail app for Windows mobile devices.

Google Apps at USC General Mail Settings

You may also use the settings below to manually configure the email application on any mobile device to connect to your Google Apps at USC account.

Account Name: Enter USC Email

Mail Protocol: Select IMAP

Username: Enter your full email address (for example: ttrojan@usc.edu).

Password: Enter your USC NetID password. Your USC NetID password is the one you use to connect to services such as my.usc.edu and Blackboard.

Email Address: Enter your full USC email address (for example, ttrojan@usc.edu).

Incoming Mail Server: Enter imap.gmail.com.

Incoming Mail Port: Enter 993 and select use SSL.

Outgoing Mail Server: Enter smtp.gmail.com

Outgoing Mail Port: Enter 587 and select use TLS.
