Cybersecurity Awareness Training: Securing the Human

Securing the Human is video-based cybersecurity awareness training provided by the information security training organization SANS and is currently available to and required for all USC faculty and staff.


Topics covered in this mandatory training include social engineering, data security, personally identifiable information (PII), HIPAA, FERPA, passwords, and physical security, among others.

These videos are all under 5 minutes in length and can be accessed around-the-clock for convenient, self-paced learning.

Getting Started

Cybersecurity Awareness Training: Securing the Human is available on TrojanLearn. You can access this course via your TrojanLearn transcript, or directly by clicking the Log into Training button on the right-hand side of this screen. If you are on a mobile device, the button may appear at the bottom of your screen. You may be asked to enter your USC NetID and password when logging in.
