The latest version of SAS for all supported operating systems, SAS 9.4, is now available for USC IT professionals on ITS-provided USB drives.
NOTE: SAS does not run on Macintosh operating systems.
To receive an installation copy of SAS, send an email to its-software@usc.edu and specify whether you would like to receive your copy via campus mail or whether you prefer to pick up a copy at CAL.
Installation Instructions
SAS is a large program (16 GB), and the processes for both installing and uninstalling the software can be complex. For this reason, we recommend that IT support staff assist end-users with installing and removing the application. The PDFs linked below contain installation instructions and a troubleshooting guide for SAS 9.4. These PDFs also contain links to the SAS technical support website, along with the SAS technical support phone number.
Training Opportunities
Any USC IT professional that would like training on how to install SAS may sign up for a one-hour class by emailing cst@usc.edu. ITS provides several classes a week for your convenience.
Technical Support
Although ITS is unable to provide technical support on the installation of SAS, SAS provides a comprehensive knowledge base for finding solutions to installation errors, runtime problems, and other issues.
To access these resources, please visit support.sas.com. If you are unable to find a solution to an issue on support.sas.com, you can reach a SAS representative by calling 919-677-8008 or sending an email to support@sas.com.
