Some USC employees have reported receiving suspicious phone calls claiming to be from an IT support department. These callers ask for various pieces of technical information, such as printer models and IP addresses, in order to fix alleged hardware problems.
As a reminder, please do not supply any such information to unsolicited callers. Fake IT support calls are a common tactic scammers use to obtain information from users. If you suspect you may have an issue with your system, you should contact your local IT help desk or the ITS Customer Support Center.
