Information Technology Services has launched eduroam, a service that allows USC faculty, staff, students, and sponsored affiliates to use their USC NetIDs (usernames) and passwords to connect to secure wireless networks at participating universities around the world.
Available in more than 60 countries, eduroam is an ideal solution for members of the USC community traveling overseas and within the United States. No new usernames or passwords are required. A list of participating institutions is available here: www.eduroam.org/index.php?p=where.
Eduroam is compatible with a broad range of mobile devices, including Mac and Windows laptops, as well as iOS, Windows and Android mobile devices. ITS strongly recommends that users configure their devices to connect to eduroam at USC before traveling to participating universities.
For information on how to configure your devices, go to ITS’s eduroam webpage: itservices.usc.edu/eduroam/.
