MATLAB is a high-level language and interactive computing environment that enables you to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran.

USC account holders who need toolboxes or products that are not listed above will need to contact the MathWorks and purchase additional products.

USC faculty, students, and staff may download individual copies of the software from the ITS software download page at http://software.usc.edu. (A valid USC login is required.)

NOTE: You will need to reactivate your MATLAB software license every year on December 30. Please see Reactivating Your MATLAB License your instructions on how to reactivate your software license.

MATLAB Online Resources

MathWorks provides several free online learning resources for MATLAB for students and faculty. To access these online resources, you will need your USC email address and the MathWorks account password you created when installing the software. If you have forgotten your MathWorks password, you may reset it at the MathWorks website.
